The Hue, located in the bustling South Lake Union neighborhood, includes 100 units incorporating both townhouse units and studio, one- and two-bedroom flats. This highly desirable South Lake Union neighborhood’s urban location offers lifestyle amenities that include waterfront parks, the neighborhood streetcar, and recreational access to Lake Union, REI’s flagship retail store, a Whole Foods Market and numerous shops and eateries. The neighborhood known first as a hub for the technology and life sciences is now evolving into a true urban residential village. The project was conceptually designed as a micro-community, specifically with the needs of today’s high technology workforce in mind. Building amenities at The Hue include a resident club room equipped with game tables, a raised bar, a mezzanine level with a media room for gamers and movie-lovers.
Fazio Associates designed the expansive rooftop deck with great views of Lake Union and the downtown Seattle skyline. The roof deck includes a covered area to socialize and BBQ, a double-sided fireplace, various seating areas (private and semi-private), raised planters with drought-tolerant plantings for low maintenance, trough planters that are specifically used for Community Garden/Vegetable Cultivation for residents, over 2,300 SF of greenroof areas to help define the spaces, along with a pet-friendly dog run that completes the amenity package for residents while reinforcing the micro-community concept of the overall project.
